Great question Charles! Yes, add the whole can to your auto transmission system. Unless it was overfilled – check your fluid levels before adding Trans Tune – there’s usually plenty of room for a full can.

When added to automatic transmission fluid, Trans Tune will dissolve sticky gum and varnish deposits that cause erratic shifting, and helps to lubricate and control moisture. You can use it as a pre-flush cleaning treatment or as a conditioner for the life of the fluid, or add it at any time to smooth out rough shifting.

Trans Tune can be used in any petroleum-derived transmission fluid. Hope this helps!

I just had my transmission fluid topped off. Will it overfill if I add a can of Trans Tune?

If you just filled it up, I would drain approximately 16 ounces of transmission fluid before adding Trans Tune just so you don’t have to think about it. Lots of people use a turkey baster to remove the fluid.

That said, as long as the transmission fluid is not overfilled, most transmissions have plenty of capacity for 16 more ounces.
