How to avoid a MAF sensor when using Sea Foam Spray [SOLVED]
Asked by Tim N. In
My engine’s MAF Sensor plugs into the top of the throttle body. I can’t see a way of spraying Sea Foam into the throttle body without it touching the MAF sensor also. Is there any other way to introduce Sea Foam Spray into the engine so it will clean the top engine, but not hit the MAF sensor?
Hi Tim, great question thank you! Good news: No need to worry about the MAF (mass air flow) sensor if you keep the RPMs steady when you’re using Sea Foam Spray. When you have the RPMs held at 2,000, the engine will draw the spray toward the throttle body into a vortex air/center. The air draw will be so strong that the fluid won’t go near the MAF. So keep the RPMs steady and you’re good to go!
