How to store an outboard motor using Sea Foam [SOLVED]

What are your recommendations for storing an outboard motor? I’ve got a 2-stroke outboard that I’m putting in winter storage soon.

Hi Bill! The two most important things you can do when storing is treat the fuel and lubricate the upper engine. At a minimum, add at least one ounce of Sea Foam per gallon of tank fuel and run the engine for several minutes to draw the treatment through your upper engine. From there, remove the plugs, spray a healthy burst of Sea Foam Spray into each cylinder, then crank the engine for a second with the plugs out. These two steps will work to stabilize the tank fuel and keep the upper engine areas lubricated and protected from dry out and corrosion.
