Minimum amount of fuel for Sea Foam cleaning dose [SOLVED]

What is the minimum amount of gasoline I should have in my 26- gallon fuel tank while I’m doing a first-time full cleaning? I bought a gallon of Sea Foam, so how much of that can I mix in with the minimum amount of fuel?

Great question, Alan!

You’re on the right track by asking about the minimum – Sea Foam is made with 100% safe petroleum cleaning and lubricating ingredients, so it works very well to use a high concentration of Sea Foam to fuel (there’s no such thing as “too much”!).

What I’d do: run your tank down to about 4 gallons. Then, add a quart (32 oz) of Sea Foam to your fuel. Drive at least 20 miles to let the Sea Foam work through the system and clean. The idea is to run the vehicle as long as you can on the high concentration of Sea Foam before refueling with fresh fuel.

There’s no real “minimum” amount of fuel you need to have in your tank. You can increase the concentration of Sea Foam up to a 50/50 Sea Foam/fuel ratio. But the method described above will be adequate.

Either way, the high concentration will work very well and quickly to clean. Hope that helps!
