Need to remove oil before adding Sea Foam? [SOLVED]
Asked by Richard B. In Florida
Should you cut back some oil so you do not overfill your engine? 2020 Ford Mustang and 2020 Porsche Magan 4 cylinder engine. Should it be used every oil change?
Thanks for the question, Richard. As long as the oil is not currently overfilled, there is no need to drain any before adding Sea Foam Motor Treatment to your oil. Add 1 oz of Sea Foam per quart of oil. The crankcase has plenty of room for that amount.
As far as frequency, we recommend adding it to oil 100-300 miles before your next oil change. Using it every oil change is a great way to help your engine last longer and keep everything as clean as possible.
