First, you can absolutely use Sea Foam Motor Treatment in your Chevy’s gas tank. I’d recommend Sea Foam High Mileage (it’s a strong cleaner and formulated to help older vehicles run better).
Second, it’s definitely worth a shot depending on what’s causing the misfires/jerking. Here are a few thoughts about misfires:
First thing to evaluate is whether you have a faulty spark plug (or plugs), faulty plug wires, and/or faulty ignition coil. A misfire can also be caused poor fuel delivery, in which case Sea Foam might help.
I’d start with this:
Add a can or two of Sea Foam High Mileage to a low tank of fuel (1/4 or less) and drive at least 20 miles.
If that doesn’t help, run back to back Sea Foam Spray treatments through the intake. This is a great thing to do for any engine. Here’s a video that covers everything you need to know. (Also, I’d use a full can of Sea Foam High Mileage instead of Sea Foam Motor Treatment).
