Sea Foam for motorcycle winter storage fuel stabilizer [SOLVED]
Can I use Sea Foam Motor Treatment as a fuel stabilizer for winter storage for a motorcycle? What’s the recommended ratio? Is too much bad?
Yes, Sea Foam Motor Treatment works great for treating fuel for storage. Add 1 ounce of Sea Foam per gallon of fuel in the tank.
As far as “too much,” you really can’t go wrong. Sea Foam Motor Treatment is made with 100% safe petroleum ingredients. The more you add to fuel, the better it cleans (as long as you don’t exceed a 50/50 ratio of Sea Foam to fuel (which is very excessive!)). For storage, 1 ounce per gallon will be fine, and a little extra won’t hurt anything.
If you want to clean out your fuel system, add a high concentration (8 ounces per gallon) to a gallon or two of fuel, and ride until almost empty before refueling. That will do a great job cleaning.
