Sea Foam Spray for carbon buildup on cylinder of 2010 A8 [SOLVED]
I’m thinking I have carbon build up on the #7 cylinder of my 2010 A8. It only has 98k miles. If we think it’s doing it on one cylinder…it most likely has build up on the others. Will Sea Foam break down the carbon around the valves?
Good question Michael. Your ’10 Audi A8 fuel system/fuel injection system is designed as a Gasoline Direct Injection(GDI) system. Your fuel system injects fuel directly into the combustion chamber area and not into the intake runners past the intake valve. This is exactly what Sea Foam Spray was designed for – to clean the intake valves on a GDI engine. A Sea Foam Spray treatment through the intake will help clean up the carbon.
