SUMMARY
Sea Foam Spray is a blend of cleaning and lubricating petroleum ingredients that can be used SAFELY in all types of 2 and 4 stroke gasoline engines. Especially important for modern GDI engines, it cleans critical upper engine areas where fuel cleaners can’t reach.
Apply Sea Foam Spray through fuel injection throttle bodies to clean harmful engine deposits from intake valves and combustion chamber areas. Use Sea Foam Spray to fog engines and coat spark plug cavities to protect your engine during storage.
Sea Foam Spray does NOT contain harsh detergent or abrasive chemicals that can harm your engine or fuel system components. Help your engine run cleaner and last longer!

RELATED QUESTIONS
Does Sea Foam harm oxygen sensors or any others sensors?
Thanks for the question, Chris. No, when used as directed, Sea Foam products do not harm oxygen sensors or any other sensors. When applying Sea Foam Spray, just make sure you apply it downstream of the Mass Air Flow sensor (MAF sensor). Most MAF sensors are a safe distance upstream of the throttle plate anyway. Hope that helps and let me know if you have any other questions!
Hello. For a 1998 Suzuki Sidekick 1.6L 16v piston carbon clean, I’ve been advised to spray an entire can of SF into the disconnected brake booster hose with engine running. When can is empty, turn engine off. After one hour, start engine and exhaust will belch black or white smoke, expelling the detritus of the cleaning. Could this be done but let the SF soak overnight, then start engine? And to be thorough, could this clean be done say three times in succession? Thank you.
Thanks for the question, Eric!
We do not recommend applying Sea Foam through the brake booster hose. Do not apply it through the brake booster line.
Instead, use Sea Foam Spray as directed on the can through the intake. Sea Foam Spray will do a better job cleaning, feed all cylinders evenly, and safely remove carbon deposits without the risk of hydrolocking and harming your engine. That will work much better and safer for your engine.
You can do two applications in a row for a thorough cleaning.
Is Sea Foam good for an ’87 chevy square body’s engine?
Thanks for the question!
Yes, Sea Foam products are safe to use in an ’87 Chevy Square Body.
If you’re asking about Sea Foam Motor Treatment, you can use it in both the fuel tank and the oil. It will work to clean fuel residues, gum, and varnish in the fuel system, and clean oil residues and deposits in the crankcase.
If you’re asking about Sea Foam Spray, it’s also safe to use on that engine for upper engine cleaning. Just follow the directions on the can.
Those older carbureted Chevy engines are actually great candidates for Sea Foam because fuel gum and varnish is a very common cause of rough running, hard starting, and poor performance as they age.
Can I use Sea Foam Spray on my 2012 Honda Pilot?
Is an oil change required after using the Sea Foam Spray? I have a Toyota Corolla and used the entire can. Replaced the spark plugs too. Should I change the motor oil?
