I have a backhoe that has been sitting for a while and the hydraulic tank is milky pink. I have a case of Trans Tune and was wanting to know if that would help clear it up. I’m also considering draining the tank, refill and run for a week, drain tank and refill again. Your thoughts?
Thanks for the question, Jason. As you likely know, milky pink hydraulic fluid means the fluid has some degree of water contamination. Adding Trans Tune will help, but if you’re dealing with a lot of water, it would be better to drain the hydraulic fluid and replace with new.
