Using Sea Foam Motor Treatment in fuel rail canister kits [SOLVED]
I’m the owner of an auto repair shop here in Tempe, AZ. We love your products, but are confused about what product to use when using our injector cleaner kit? (Ported directly into the fuel rail on typical gasoline engines.) We usually mix a fuel additive 50/50 with gasoline into a canister, bypass fuel pump and run through injectors.
Some say to use a specific chemical for for our device. Many say to use a Sea Foam product. Please help!
I think we can help you David. You can use Sea Foam Motor Treatment [or Sea Foam High Mileage] in virtually any fuel rail canister kit. Not only does is it a favorite cleaner for shop canister applications, Sea Foam has no harsh chemicals or detergents that can harm canister parts. Our recommended mix ratio is to fill the canister cavity with 50% Sea Foam to 50% fresh gasoline. Note that Sea Foam also offers a canister tool to shops like yours – just check with your favorite wholesale person or parts store for details!
