Using Sea Foam Spray to clean GDI intake valves [SOLVED]
Asked by Cory G. In Alabama
Is it better to use Sea Foam through the brake booster line or does it do better when slowly poured down the throttle body? Or should I use Sea Foam Spray?
Hey Cory. We get a lot of brake booster questions and our answer is always the same – don’t do it!
Instead, use Sea Foam Spray (an aerosol version of Sea Foam) applied through the throttle body. Sea Foam Spray will do a better job cleaning, feed all cylinders evenly, and safely remove carbon deposits without the risk of hydrolocking and harming your engine. It’ll do a great job cleaning GDI intake valves. Give it a try!
