If I use Sea Foam IC5 in the fuel of my ’96 will all the build up from the old gas tank clog my fuel injectors?

Thanks for the question, Isabel. No, IC5 won’t cause anything in the fuel tank to clog the fuel injectors, so go ahead and use it without worry.

I’d strongly consider using Sea Foam High Mileage instead – that sounds like a perfect fit for your ’96! High Mileage was made to clean years of stubborn build up from older gasoline vehicles. It will reliquefy any deposits, so they won’t clog fuel injectors.

Whichever one you use, add a full can/bottle to a low tank of fuel and drive at least 20 miles before adding fresh fuel. That allows the Sea Foam to work through the fuel system in a high cleaning concentration.

Give it a try!
