Will Sea Foam clean the idle jet and stabilize fuel in my golf cart? [SOLVED]
1 Answers
Hello,
I am in northern Sweden and have an ’81 VW Golf 1.6 with Keihin Carburetor. It has not been driven for 10 years. It starts and drives, but idles a bit rough. It has 35 litres of new 98 octane fuel inside the tank. Is it possible that sea foam cleans the idle jets and stabilizes the fuel for the next three years?
Thanks
Jan

Hi Jan,
Thanks for the question! Here are two thoughts:
First, as far as stabilizing, Sea Foam will help stabilize the fuel and prevent it from degrading for up to two years.
Second, Sea Foam will help clean the idle jets as the treated fuel runs through them (you’d have to run it long enough that the treated fuel has time to work through the system and into the carburetor). I’d add two cans.
