“FIRED ON THE FIRST TURN OF THE KEY”

“My dad bought this truck from the first owner in the late 1990s. The clutch went out and it sat until early this year. I pulled her home and started the rehab. A clutch, fuel pump and a lot of wiring later, I got her running again. I made the mistake of not draining the old gas out of the tank – it varnished up really bad. I pulled the valve covers, knocked the valves loose with a hammer and penetrating oil, then fed her a can of Sea Foam Motor Treatment and a full tank of premium gas. Drove around town for a few hours then parked for the night. The next day I expected to hear that metallic ping noise of a loose pushrod, but instead she fired on the first turn of the key with no complaints.”
