DIRECTIONS
SUMMARY
Every petroleum fluid system is prone to erratic and rough performance caused by gum, varnish, and moisture. Trans Tune works fast to dissolve harmful deposits and control the moisture that impairs fluid systems.
Trans Tune works in hydraulic fluid to clean sticky varnish from pressure valves and hydraulic pumps, and to help manage moisture in fluid. It’s safe for use in all types of petroleum-based hydraulic fluid and will not harm gaskets and O-rings or swell seals. Use as a conditioner or an excellent pre-flush cleaner!
HOW TO USE trans tune
Use Trans Tune as a pre-flush cleaner, a long-term fluid conditioner, or to quickly smooth out operational problems caused by varnish or moisture. Try adding Trans Tune to your hydraulic fluid – super easy!

Can I use Trans Tune in a newly purchased 2017 Nissan Altima CVT that I know nothing about service history?
Thanks for the question!
Yes, you can use Trans Tune in your Altima’s CVT transmission. It won’t hurt anything, regardless of its service history. It will clean up any residues/varnish.
If you’re using it as a pre-flush cleaner, be sure to drive at least 30 miles before changing the fluid.
Otherwise, you can leave the Trans Tune in there for the life of the fluid. It will continue to clean and condition.
I just changed my transmission fluid. I added half a bottle of Trans Tune. How long can I leave it in my transmission?

Can I use Sea Foam in my 2018 Kia Optima ex for oil, gas and transmission? If so, what kind for each one?
Thanks for the question, Dave!
Yes, you can absolutely use Sea Foam Motor Treatment in your Optima! It’s safe and effective in that model. Just follow the instructions on the can.
Here’s a little more info on how to use it:
- Sea Foam Motor Treatment in fuel. I like to wait until the tank is low (1/4 -1/8 tank), add the whole 16 oz can, and then drive for at least 10-20 miles before refueling. It’s safe to add a high concentration like that and it works very well for cleaning fuel residues and deposits.
- Sea Foam Motor Treatment in oil. Add 1 ounce of Sea Foam per quart of oil in the crankcase. We recommend adding it 100-300 miles before your next oil change. That gives the Sea Foam enough time to circulate and clean, and it allows all the reliquefied oil residues to be drained away with the old oil.
You could also try High Mileage Motor Treatment. It’s made specifically for stubborn residues and deposits in higher-mileage vehicles. It’s a great cleaner!
In the transmission, use Trans Tune. Just add the Trans Tune to the transmission fluid reservoir.
