Applying Sea Foam Spray into a 2002 Dodge Dakota V6 3.9 intake [SOLVED]
Asked by Will E. In Virginia
I have a 2002 Dodge Dakota v6 3.9 that has circle top cover style air cleaner top that bolts down. Is it OK to just take off the cover and add Sea Foam Spray directly on the dual throttle plates? Also my idle air control valve and sensor is bolted to the back will it harm them?
Great questions, Will. When you have two throttle plates we recommend to spray half a can through each throttle plate. So, spray one side for 3 minutes, then the other until the can is empty. As far as idle air control valve goes, no concerns. Only sensor to ever be concerned about is MAF (mass air flow), which is typically up the airstream and out of the way.
