Can I pour Trans Tune in my gas tank? [SOLVED]

I have both Trans Tune and the Motor Treatment and just accidentally poured the Trans Tune into my gas tank (the bottles are very similar). Will this harm my truck (Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 liter)?  Please help!

No worries William.  Trans Tune is very similar to Sea Foam (ingredients) and is safe to run through your Dodge’s fuel system and engine.  It will also work well to clean and lubricate fuel passageways and upper engine areas, just like Sea Foam.

Hi Marion – I’d recommend using Marine PRO. But if you have a can of Trans Tune sitting around that you need to use up, it won’t hurt anything and it will help to clean your Mercury’s fuel system, so you can use it if you need to.

I accidentally poured about a cup of Sea Foam Trans Tune into my gas tank – 1994 Chevy Silverado suburban, 4×4. Am I alright or how do I fix? It started, turns over great but won’t fire.

Hey Benjamin – Trans Tune in your gas tank is not going to hurt anything. It’s very similar to Sea Foam Motor Treatment (same base ingredients) and will actually clean up your fuel system. It wouldn’t cause any damage – there is no need to worry.

Was the truck firing before the Trans Tune?
