Sea Foam does not directly clean the catalytic converter. You should never pour or spray Sea Foam directly into the converter.

What Sea Foam Motor Treatment can do is clean fuel injectors, intake valves, pistons, and combustion chamber deposits. Keeping those areas clean helps the engine burn fuel more efficiently, which can reduce the amount of unburned fuel and deposits reaching the catalytic converter.

If an engine is running poorly because of fuel gum, varnish, or combustion deposits, Sea Foam can help address the problem upstream. However, it won’t repair a clogged, damaged, or failed catalytic converter.
