Can Sea Foam Motor Treatment be used in kerosene to stabilize it and remove water from it? If so how much should be used? The kerosene will be used in a wick heater.

Hi Jeff. Here are two thoughts: (1) People have done it, and they say that it helps. (2) Unlike gasoline, kerosene is not as vulnerable to the oxygen atmosphere. Plus, the containers aren’t vented so as long as the cap is tight, kerosene won’t degrade (it won’t form unstable petroleum molecules).
Will it also inhibit bacterial growth – the sludge stuff that can plague diesel generators when not exercised regularly?
No, Sea Foam won’t inhibit bacteria growth. Look for a specific biocide additive that will kill or prevent growth.
