How to break in a Honda 7000IS generator with Sea Foam [SOLVED]
Asked by Derek G. In Virginia
I just bought a new Honda 7000IS generator with fuel injectors. I would like to break-in the generator and using Sea Foam Motor Treatment in the fuel. However, I do not know how much should I add to my fuel tank. The can does not show instructions for break-in. Any other recommendations and or info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for the question Derek. Sea Foam does not specify a mix ratio for breaking in a new engine so does not appear on the can or elsewhere. Considering the generator engine is new and clean, adding 1 ounce of Sea Foam per gallon of fuel is a good start to keeping things in order!
