Hi Jonathan! When used as directed, Sea Foam Motor Treatment will NOT alter the effect of motor oil viscosity! Sea Foam is safe to add to ALL types of conventional and synthetic motor oil – just follow the easy instructions on the can! Keep in mind that you’re adding petroleum cleaning & lubricating oil (Sea Foam) to your full amount of petroleum crankcase oil. It’s not at all like a detergent that can strip lubricity.
