Can I add Sea Foam to diesel generator fuel? [SOLVED]
Asked by Derick S. In Alabama
I have a diesel generator on my boat. The operator manual suggests using a 3-5% isopropyl alcohol mix with the fuel. “Use only isopropyl/propanol based carburetor spirits – NOT Ethyl/Methyl based spirits.”
Is it OK to add Sea Foam Motor Treatment to its diesel tank?
Great question Derick. Yes, you can always add Sea Foam to your diesel generator fuel (and engine oil). Sea Foam is formulated with 3 ingredients derived from petroleum oil and shares the same molecular nature as your generator’s diesel fuel and oil. It does NOT contain methyl or ethyl alcohol.
