How much Sea Foam motor treatment should I use in my lawnmower? [SOLVED]
Asked by Dan N. In Michigan
Long time user here with 3 questions. I have had a 1/2 can of Sea Foam in my garage for three years now. Is this still safe to use? Also, I believe the can says treats 16 gallons. Should I use the entire can in a 13 gallon tank? Also, how much should I use for a one gallon mower can of gas?
Hi Dan. I would not hesitate to use as long as the cap was kept on. Sea Foam has a very long shelf life! Half a can (8 oz) in more than 8 gallons of fuel won’t do much. Adding half a can is perfect for most oil crankcases, so you can try that…Or, add it to any amount of fuel tank or container with 8 or less gallons of fuel. For regular mower use, add 1 to 2 ounces per gallon of fuel. Hope this helps!
